Many of the developers of the site actively monitor the postings.
I think math.openstudy.com is a spin-off of the main open study.
Keep up to date with you questions and monitor the questions on the left - perhaps you can help someone else.
So, to be clear, you don't need to be a member to post to "math.openstudy.com" - you just need to have a user-name and log-in.
On the main www.openstudy.com site (different logins BTW) it seems you need to join a study group formally. This site seems more amiable to dropping in.
