Smokey the cat weighs 11 lbs. The doctor wants her to receive 25mg/kg of a liquid medication that comes in a strength of 10mg/ml. She is to receive this medication twice a day for 10 days. 1. How many milligrams and how many milliliters will she receive at each dose? 2. How many total milliliters of medication will it take to treat her for the entire 10 days?

    11lbs = 4.989kg 4.989kg x 25mg = 127.7379mg / 10 = 12.4ml per dose 12.4ml per dose x2 per day = 24.8ml daily 24.8ml daily x10 days = 240.8ml 127.7379mg x 10 days = 1273mg
