From what I gather, this course is designed for people who aren't necessarily going to pursue computer science, while 6.001 is for computer science majors and focuses more on the theory of CS.

Ah crap, then I'm taking the wrong course. Is there a good page that lists the courses each major would take? I'm trying to learn CS specifically.
