hike 2100 miles fm springer mt georgia to mt. katadin 50 yr later at age 79 became the oldest person to hike the entire trail he was 3 times as far frm northern end of the trail as fm the southern. at the point how far was he fm each end of the trail? help please.....

    We are dividing the trail into two parts, x and y, one is the distance to the southern end and the other is the distance to the northern end: x + y = 2100 And x = 3y Is that enough for you to solve this?
