can someone help me find the value of the variable b+5/6=7/8

    I hateee fractions so I like to convert then to decimals. 5 divided by 6 is 0.833 and 7 divided by 8 is 0.875. Simply subtract 0.833 from 0.875 to get the b alone. Youre left with 0.042. That's your answer! :)

    lose th fraction by multiplying the entire equation by 24 and get 24b + 20 = 21 subtract 20 from both sides and get 1 divdie by 24 and get 1/24
