Dawn starts on a 132-mile trip on her moped at 30 miles per hour. After a while the motor stops, and she pedals the remainder of the trip at 12 miles per hour. The entire trip takes 6 1/2 hours. How far had Dawn traveled when the motor on the moped quit running?

    90 miles for 3 hours on the motor 42 miles for 3.5 hours when pedaling

    thank you! do you understand this one? Two cars start from the same place traveling in opposite directions. One car travels 3 miles per hour faster than the other car. Find their speeds if after 5 hours they are 515 miles apart

    50mph x 5hours = 250 miles 53mph x 5 hours = 265 miles 250 miles + 265 miles = 515 miles in 5 hours
