f 30% in a sample group of 200 French did NOT like tomatoes, how many in the group LIKED them?

    If 30% did not like tomatoes, then the assumption is that 70% did like them. 70% of 200 French is .7 x 200 = 140, ans 140 tomatoe likers

    Bob and his pals ate 35 % of his snack bag which had 140 nacho chips. How many nacho chips are left in the bag?

    Pretty much same kind of problem. Use same kind of logic. If they ate 35% then that means (100-35) 65% remains in the bag. Since the bag held 140 chips .65x140=91 chips remaining
