    is this merely a problem with converting fraction to decimal? so how to convert 7/8 to a decimal requiers doing some long division

    Is this feet? If so, then you know that 1 foot is 12 inches, then you use division for 7/8.

    seems like 1 inch and 7/8 of an inch...convert to decimal in inches
