5. Mark earns a weekly salary plus a commission on sales. One week his income on sales of $4000 was $660. The next week his income on sales of $6000 was $740. Find his weekly salary and his commission rate.

    let mark's weekly salary be X. The commission he gets is just going to be a percentage of his income on sales so let's make that percentage Y. Then you end up with a system of 2 equations X+4000Y=660 and X+6000Y=740
