## anonymous 5 years ago differentiate y= 5sinh(x/2)

Okay, this makes use of the chain rule: $y=5\sinh(x/2)$$y\prime=(5*\cosh(x/2))/2$ Remember, when applying the chain rule, it's the derivative of the outer function, i.e. sinh(x) with the inner function plugged in, i.e. x/2 times the derivative of the inner function (x/2)

ok thanks that helps a ton. i get so confused with the chain rule
