    Didn't you take my number and multiply by 8? Sorry I should have said like the 3 and the 10.

    8 calculators at $3 each costs 8 x 3 = $24 8 calculators at $10 each costs 8 x 10 = $80 8 calculators at $7 each costs 8 x 7 = $56 SO..... 8 calculators at $d each costs 8 x d = $8d

    I think it says 8/d on your question. it isn't 8/d it is 8d which means 8 times d

    8D. Since one calc is D dollars, 8 calculators is 8 * D= 8D.
