A few issues. 1) Often the group chat becomes "locked" and while I can see people talking in it, I am unable to submit anything myself. 2) The realtime preview is very spastic when working with equations. I'd prefer to have the option to click a preview button to see a preview of my response rather than have it always appear as I'm typing. 3) I'd like a way to edit/delete responses 4) It would be nice to be able to tag and then search/sort questions both on topic and on number of responses.

5) Posters should be able to mark a question "resolved" so that tutors can filter out questions that don't need help.

6) It would be nice if there was a better way to represet division than the \[\div\ or\ /\] symbols. Something like \fraction{numerator}_{denominator} would be perfect to produce numerator ----------- denominator

7) There should be an interface/option to allow a user to see all the questions they have created, possibly separated by whether or not they're resolved, etc. So that they can clean up old questions and/or remove duplicates.

Actually I discovered you can do fractions, but that it's not a menu option in the equation editor. So that's fine, though I cannot edit/delete my post now to remove number 6 from the list, so we still need editing functionality ;p

8) Far too many people view this as a place to have other people do their homework for them. The emphasis needs to be helping people with questions they have, not giving them the answer to their homework assignments

Second #8. And I would add that there are tutors that enable this behavior.

Sorry for the long wait, we missed your post a few days ago. A few responses: (1) We know about the group chat issue, and we're trying to track it down. Hopefully we should have it fixed relatively soon. In the meantime, when that happens, reloading the page in your browser usually re-enables chat. (2) We're aware of this, too. We think the real-time preview is great, but it's definitely got some issues with jumpiness at the moment, especially, as you pointed out, with equations. We have some ideas of how to make it work without losing the real-time aspect. If we can't get rid of the jumpiness, we will change how it works entirely.

(3) We'll be providing a way to delete responses, but probably not a way to edit them in the foreseeable future. We see questions as a sort of real-time conversation, similar to a chat, and therefore don't mind if they evolve as a chat would, with corrections specified after the fact. Our emphasis is on getting people help *right now*, and the conversation model makes more sense in that context than the more forum-oriented approach of editing/deleting posts. (4) We'll be investigating this in a few weeks, but again, our emphasis continues to be on getting you help *now*, so we're less focused on the cataloging/searching aspect initially in favor of keeping everything relevant to now. We are, however, aware of some of the limitations on that, so we'll be adding, for example, an `unanswered' filter soon so that people can look at a list with just unanswered questions.

(5) We've definitely got this in the works. You should be seeing some work on this front in a week or two. (7) Again, we're not as concerned with the archives of questions for the time being. More on the answer to (8). (8) We consider this to be something the community should police itself, for the most part, though we try to emphasize accordingly when we're on the site helping. We'll be appointing community moderators sometime soon who will also be tasked with trying to regular this to some extent. Likewise, they'll help with duplicates and such that you mentioned in (7).

Thanks for all the feedback! We've got some great stuff in the works, so keep your ears peeled/eyes out!
