It is called the FOIL method. First, Outside, Inside, Last. Multiply What would be 4x and 4x then 4x and -7 and 4x and -7 and combine them then multiply - 7 and -7. You get a trinomial. Any questions?

first step is (x+7)(x-5) Divided by (x+7) you get the two parenthesses if you FOIL those like before ypou get the original problem
