what is the formula to find the area of a rectangle?

    How to find the area of a rectangle: * The area of a rectangle can be found by multiplying the base times the height. * If a rectangle has a base of length 6 inches and a height of 4 inches, its area is 6*4=24 square inches

    so if i have a length of 10 width 6 and height 5 i should do 2x10+2x6 which should equal 32 right?

    NP I looked it up it relates to the sides. You have four sides so it is as someone else posted 2hw+2hw.

    In this case I think would be 2x5x6+2x5x10=60+100 = 160 sq units.
