Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Alright, draw both rectangles next to each other and write down the given for both ^_^: We have the following given for the big rectangle which is: L = 20 ft W = 20 ft and the general formula for the area of a rectangle is : \[A = lw = (20)(8) = 160 ft^2\] is it clear now? ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0do you want x and y = sides of the smaler rectangle?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Starica my life saver yes i want the sides of the smaller rectangle

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Hmm, okay, I think I have found a relationship between the 2 rectangles, I hope this helps. A1 = xy A2 = Lw Since both rectangles are similar then they are proportional , so yu'll have the following relationship: \[A2/A1 = lw/xy = 160/20 = 8\] so : A2 = 8(A1) does this help? :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I dont get what your saying. I have to fine what x and y equals. it has to do witch similar figures

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0lol, I have showed you the relationship between both rectangles. I'm not sure how to solve it, but I have given you a relationship, can you figure that out from here?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0To find the sides, you have to know the proportionality of the sides and areas

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0here what my problems looks like

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Like I have said, since they are similiar then the sides are proportional so you'll have :\[x/y = 8/20\] cross multiply and solve for x or y, I'll solve for x first and you'll get : 8x = 20y x = (20/8 )y x = (5/2)y plug this x in the area of the smaller rectangle: A1 = xy 20 =[ (5/2)y ] y \[20 = (5/2)y^2\] \[y = \sqrt{40/5}=\sqrt{8}= 2\sqrt{2} ft\] now plug this y in the equation we have found which is : \[x = (8/20) y =(8/20)(2\sqrt{2}) = (4\sqrt{2})/5 ft\] Correct me if I'm wrong please ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I guess I'm wrong since it's not equal to 20 ft^2 :(

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes gosh i hate geometry

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0lol, don't say that, give it a one more try, I'll try again :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0if you cant im just not going to do it i get a50 or something

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0angoo can you help out a bit please? :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Lol, I didn't say I can't, I still didn't stop thinkin, I'm going to give it a one more try

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm... both rectangles are supposed to be simmilar, right? so the ratio of their width to lenght is the same

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ok, so the first rectangle is 20ftsq = x * z the second is 160ftsq = 8 * 20 so...

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0so what does x and y equal of the smaller square

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0How is geometry going to help me in my life anyways

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0so, we have to find the ratio first, which is, 160/20=8

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0life is geometry martin, everything around us is made up of geometric measurements ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0which means that x of the smaller triangle is 8 times smaller than x of the big triangle, and same goes for z

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0x = 8/8 = 1ft z = 20/8 = 2.5ft

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm, still not equal to 20 ft^2 angoo, but you were close though!

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0You got the ratio idea right

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0martin the area of the smaller rectangle is : A = xy and the area is given which is = 20 ft^2 so (x)(y) must be equal = 20.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0And you must know the ratio between both rectangles since both are similar :) which is 8 just like andy has said. Did you get that part?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0since: A2 = 8 A1 then A1 = A2/8 just like what you have done! excellent ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0i am SOOOOO bad at maths :( *crying out loud desperatelly and emmotionally*

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0LOL! angoo, you were close ^_^, but martin that doesn't give 20 ft^2 either. X is correct, but what about y?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0LOL :D, just kidding, but my exams to university are approaching, in ONE week

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well thank you guys i really appreciate what you guys have really helped me. I hate high school math and my teacher who cant even teach

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0work hard and good luck!

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0np :), but did you get the idea martin?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes. I hope i get it right its really late and i have a to study for world history and do this homework

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0the problem is, I have no idea what to study... there are hundreds of topics :( well, not a big deal anyway, if I fail, I will just join the military...

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0study the history then wake up early in the morning when your brain is fresh and you'll figure what (y) is ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0on i cant im not a morning person

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0don't say that andy, you must have high hopes and ambitions.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0i have to wake up in 3 hours

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0damn it, I would really love to have your optimism

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well you've got to, it has been proven scientifically that the brain mostly absorbs between 4 am 7 am :) try to wake up during these times :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well, I could start OpenStudy2, or even FaceBook 2 for that matter :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well, I got an A in my final maths exam in high, but forgot half of everything now, just half a year after finishing

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0you have no idea martin, I wasn't even that good in math during high school, but I worked hard in my last 2 senior years and have aced the subject ^_^ . I didn't do good because I didn't get it, but when you fully start to understand mathematics, every mathematical problem will seem simple and clear to you :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well i hope college isnt this bad, i hope the teachers actually teach

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Don't say that andy, it's there sometwhere in your head but you've got to refresh you mind that's all ^_^, nothing can be forgotton, everything is stored up in the unconscious :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0they do martin, but try not to outsmart them, they don't like it :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well good, cause my teacher cant teach to save her life she ignores our questions

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0especially you andy, with your great computer skills, they'll consider you as a threat, just do your work and keep quite ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ok, well one of my passions is Hacking

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I dont like highschool because people pick on you for the dumbest things

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0you can help out with security if a hacker hacks, or you can hack a system down if they want to ^_^, hacking is not bad if you don't misuse it :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0it is bad, if you use it badly :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0that is what I tell everyone

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I dont use it for evil materialistic gains, I dont steal ppls money and info

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I just break into some company for the thrill of it, it is like an ultimate puzzle, to outsmart a security system, but once I get in, i NEVER steal info or do any harm

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0how were you guys highschool experience

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0few times I even took my time to write them anonymous letters and explain how they can fix up the security holes

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hacking is not bad, they way you use it defines if it is being used properly or not, and you care about what ppl think? Listen, it's none of our business to know what ppl think of us, let them make their own judgements, it's their words and not ours, we are us and they are not in us, so they don't know who we are, but we do, that's why wenever get affected by the cruel words that surrounds us. When we're not affected we become successful and valuable to all beings. That's what makes us all special ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0you have good intentions andy, remember that :)

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ughh i hate im a loner but i know in the future im going to be somebody

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I used to dislike math and physics, but they are my passion right now . I refused to use the methods they used for teaching, same goes with chemistry.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0don't say that word "hate" it's too powerful >_< , you'll be somebody, and you'll see martin :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes i know, people in my school thinks it cool to smoke and drink. HOw is taking your life away slowly cool?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0has any of you read the Hacker Manifesto written by The Mentor? he wrote about his feeling in highshcool, as a hacker.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0nope, then you do recognize their foolishness and understand it better than them to not think of it as cool martin :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0nope, but will check it now andy ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes i know, I dislike people who pick on other people. Its like leave them alone what are they doing to you. nothing.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0^_^ I wish you the best of luck, both. I'm thinking of switching from IT college to Engineering. It's my passion and when this semester ends, I'll transfer :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yep, thank you ^_^, but now I'll have to convince both my parents why I love engineering lol

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well thanks for the help, igot to go it late school in 3 hours.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0wait starica what do you do in engineering

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0what kind of engineering? Nanoengineering? BioEngineering? Mechanical engineering? any other type of eng?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0They are all as different as ppl

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0martin how many years do you have until you graduate high school?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0especially explosiives making

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0lol, it's not abt making explosives, it's about creating new sources of energies that'll fight global warming and stop the depletion of the ozone layer and so much more ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0lucky me chemical stores only sell Potassium and Sodium to companies :) because i would have probably blown myself up already trying to make Astrolite

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0np and good luck martin :)!

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I can't stop thinking about it, I'm all excited when someone opens a discussion abt it :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I was forced to choose between something I love and something I need. I chose the thing I need, thought about it for a year, and I'm going back to follow what I love :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0oh, and if you want to save the planet, sstarica, why dont you study green energy production courses, well you know what I mean,

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yep I do, I've been researching about the whole thing last year's summer :) before entering college.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0isn't it physical/mechanical eng that deals with alternate/clean energy production?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I did that already, I've read abou all types of energies to have a background about the topic and got clear to what to do :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0like production of things like solar panels, wind turbines and so on

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0nope, it's chemical engineering :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0:o really??? wow, never knew it.... i just dont see how making an efficient wind turbine links to chemistry

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Chemical Engineers develop and control processes in general. Since remediation and environmental treatment are processes, Chemical Engineers are actively involved. However, Chemical Engineers are also tackling the Environmental issues from a different angle, namely clean technology. That is to develop processes (and alternative products) that would not produce the pollutants from the first place, or at least improve the operation in order to reduce the produced pollutants. Beside that Chemical Engineers work in other operations not related to the environment.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0that's the answer I got after asking a professor in college ^_^ he ahs helped me alot!

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0oh, have you ever heard of Nikola Tesla?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm? nope, who is she?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0:o He is the scientist because of whom we have wireless comunications, AC electricity, AC generators/motors, and hundreads of other things without which 21st century would not be as we know it (it would look more like 19th century)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0from just being a village boy to a legend, how awesome is that?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0he made some stuff in 1940s that scientists are not able to reproduce even now

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ever heard of Philadelphian experiment? LOL

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0lol, no, what is it? :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0googled it, something that had to do with military lol :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0omg, is it me or am I getting more and more attached to google nowadays? =D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0wikipedia for more info, but in short, in 1943, an experiment that tried to make a ship inwisible

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0LOL! I did check wikipedia

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0and, ppl that were in the ship during experiment, all became either insane or died, and some had some pretty bizare stories to tell of what happened there

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0you should read it some time it is interesting

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I havefavored both the manifesto and this experiment to read later :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0anyways, does your intelligent soul believe that there is such thing as multiple universes, time travel (LOL LOL LOL), and spiritual reality (another dimention?)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0actually, you've brought up the topic I was thinking about yesterday :) and I have written a theory about it.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0can you send it to me?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yet I need consultancy in proving my theory :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0so, if you send it to me, I can see if I can find some logical problems... :) i used to study LOTS of metaphysics, quantum physics and theories like that... so..

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I've sent it to a couple of professors in college , who work in the math field, but none could answer the question. I'm sending it ot my high school physics + maths teacher this sunday and see what he'll say :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0seriously!? oh this is GREAT andy! how can I send it to u?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0he is one of the great ppl I've met in my life, a genius of his type :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0you can either upload the file to DARPA SAT 45 (one of the GPS sattelites I have access to and use as my file server, LOL), or you can send it to my email, which is naitreid@gmail.com

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I'll choose the email, lol :)

anonymous

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0now! you've got me excited :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0it's more about whether space is finite or infinite

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0so, can I give you a HARSH and uncensored review?? :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0lol, I'll listen to any judgements :) and take it into consideration

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ok, I think I know what happened

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0you did not attach a file itself, but only a link to it, but the link is to your personal file which is protected by your live pasword

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0:) nice quick last moment touch before sending :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0never mind... You mention Quaran there, are you muslim?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I'm kind of slow, did I mention that before? ^^" Yep :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ok, another very important question, are you a true muslim, obiding ALL the rules and laws of Quran?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Lol, if I were not to obide the rules of the Quran and the rules by which the prophet has mentioned, then I'm not a muslim am I? Ofcourse I am.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well, many call themselfs Muslims, Budhists, Christians, and many other religions/movement's believers, but many of those many, do not fully follow, study, examine, and believe what is written in their scriptures. That is why I asked.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Now worries :) Those who don't go with the rules of their religions are those who have no religion at all. :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0exactly, but religion is a very dangerous and usually wrongly interpreted and understood word

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0that's why people have made up different religions, doesn't that get you curious?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well, I it VERY hard to fully determine which religion is the true one, VERY hard

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I'm not praising my religion, but the Quran is the book that beholds God's words of how he created the universe and Earth in 6 days, how life began in earth, mentioned the diseases and their cures, relationships between a husband and wife , politcal polices, everything. People , scientists and scholars have found answers to mysterious questions now, but the Quran had the answer almost 2000 years ago :) If you read it , you'll understand what I'm talking abt ^_^

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0all of your questions, have answers in that book and they make sense. I myself was taken aback :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well, I read many scriptures like Quran, Bible and others.... ALL of them have answers to many question in life... that is not enough to prove the religion the right and only one. I think the only way we can 100% know if the religion we follow is correct is by experiancing a supernatural happening.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0There are stories about people who have faced the worse in life, you can read about and also, the prohpet's sayings that existed more than 1,400 years :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0anyway, I will carefully read your theory, and will send a response to you to the same email, but just to start, the including of religious facts/beliefs should not be mixed with science. Why? Because you believe in it but other scientist do not. Also, because scriptures simply give a statement about something, like "The universe is spherical..." but it does nothing to explain why that statement is correct, even if it is correct.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0does it make any sense?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0That's why I've mentioned the predictions of other scientists :) if you have noticed.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0like perelam who proved hirbel's work?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hope I have spelled his name correctly ^^"

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0:), yes I know, but still, i don't see how quran will help your theory to get accepted. You could simply add that piece of info at the very bottom, list it as a text that also predicted/stated that universe is sperical.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Quran is another proof to support my theory. That's why I have put 3 and not only 1. You can exclude the one that has Quran and move on reading lol :)

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ok, =D, i will move on, (btw there is a great difference between proof and suggestion, Quran, nor any other holy text, can NOT ever prove ANYTHING unless, it is proven to be true itself, which it hasn't, like any other religion, since religion can not be proven physically), ok i am moving on
