When does the vertical asymptotes occur? Find all the asymptotes of the function f(x) = 4x^2/(8-2x^2).

    \[\pm \sqrt{8}\] are your asymptotes, these breaking the function into three separate parts with the top (above the x-axis) being a wide parabola (because x is multiplied by 4) and then two halves of the parabola on each side below the x-axis. you would find how these act as they approach the asymptote using differentiation and/or limits.
