Could i have some practice problems or instinces in real life where quadratic formulas are used?

    Usually, the quadratic formula is used when a polynomial is not easily factored. A good example of this is y = x^2 + 23x + 13. You will have to use the quadratic formula for an instance like this. It is a very useful formula that is used in math.

    9x-17=6x-8 could u help me solve and tell me when do i change the addition sign to a subtraction sign

    You need to subtract 6x from both sides.
