## anonymous 5 years ago find the radius of a circle with an area of 38ft squared

1. anonymous

$A=\pi*r^2$

2. anonymous

i know that is the formula but i am not sure how to solve it

3. anonymous

Ok so after plugging in values you get. $38=\pi*r^2$ so then divide by $\pi$ and take the square root of that number to get r.

i got a weird number when i divided 38 by pie 12.09577567

5. anonymous

That weird number is correct.

6. anonymous

Now you just need to take the square root. :)

7. anonymous

i got 3.477898168 is i right?

8. anonymous

Yes. You can always check yourself by plugging your answer into the equation for r.

thank you very much i got what i needed
