    Ok lets look at it this way. Your distance from Venus to the Sun is 66,790,000 miles, and from the Sun to the Earth is 131,100,000 miles. 66,790,000 is more than 66,000,000. We can calculate that 66,000,000 is 132,000,000, which is more than the distance between the Sun and the Earth.

    So since our ACTUAL distance is LESS than 2 times our estimated distance, it has to be D. Basically 66,790,000 times 2 is GREATER than 131,100,000. This means that 131,100,000 is nearly twice as far (but not quite) as 66,790,000 miles.
