$\times 4= x-x/x=-8/3 solve that and get x=-4$

2. anonymous

its suppose to be x/3 not over x

3. anonymous

times 4 i meant the whole equation times 4

4. anonymous

5x/4-x-x/12=-2/3 Make denominators equal , 15x/12-12x/12-x/12=-8/12 2x=-8 , x=-4

either way works, you can be our fan if you want by the way

Thanks, What did u do to make the denominator equal?

7. anonymous

well for 5x/4 you need to multiply top and bottom by 3, then u get 15x/4...same pattern for all the other ones, check what you need to multiply the denominator by to get 12 and multiply the numerator by the same number

dammit, 15x/12 of course typo...
