Find the monthly average rate of change in price between Jund and September. Month price April (x=1) 114 may 108 june 87 july 100 august 95 september 112 october 93 november 86 december 64

    determine the change in price from month to month, add them all up and divide by 3

    sept + june//2 maybe....dunno, its unclear to me what its asking for... and average chnage from month to month to month or the average change from june to sept...

    if we just hit june and sept we get: 87+122//2 209/2 = $104.50 as the avergare rate of change; but that sounds odd.... --------------------------- 122 - 87 = $35 is the difference between the 2 months, but that aint no average..... ---------------------------- looks like we have to add up all the changes and divide by the number of months..

    87 -> 100 = +13 100 -> 95 = -5 95 -> 112 = +17 17+13-5 = 25/3 = $8 + $1/3 would be the avergare rate of change i think....
