## anonymous 5 years ago What does "set builder notation" mean?

1. anonymous

Set builder notation would be something like $$\{2n: \forall x \in N\}$$

2. anonymous

Err that x should be an n

3. anonymous

It's basically some curly braces in which you describe the elements of the set.

The set {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ..., 100} could be written in set builder notation as $$\{x: (x \in N) \bigwedge (0\le x \le 100)\}$$
