    Well, the main idea here is to open the parentheses. When opening the parentheses of the second term (2m^2-4m-1), you should multiply each term by -1. After that, you have to add the like terms.

    No. You forgot to distribute the - to all the terms in the second paren.. \(-(2m^2 - 4m-1) = -2m^2 + 4m + 1\)
