## anonymous 5 years ago Can someone solve xsquared+4x+5 please?

1. anonymous

(x+5)(x-1) which would then equal. -5 and 1

2. anonymous

$x^{2}+4x+5$

3. anonymous

Complete the square (x+2)^2 + 1

4. anonymous

$x=-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4(a timesc)}$ a would be the x^2 b would be the value with x and c is the one without the value

5. anonymous

.......it would be easier for them to foil.....

6. anonymous

this is so easy

7. anonymous

and all of that would be divided by 2a

8. anonymous

you don't foil that.. x squared+4x+5 you find the gcf that goes into 4x which then would add up to 4 and when you multiply you would get 5 and the answer is (x-1) (x-5) the (x) part is coming from the x2... i have it written out if you want a picture of it..

....how does -1 and -5 equal positive 4??
