Most racetracks consists 1st 2nd and 3rd place finishers in a perticular race in a proper order. if they are 10 entries in the race, how many tickets must be purchaced to grarentee a win?

    i think they want the number of different 1st,2nd,3rd arrangements possible among 10 entries use permutations 10P3 = 10!/(10-3)! = 10*9*8
