ln (5x^2) = 7 5x^2 = e^(7)

2. anonymous

$x^2 = (1/5)e^7$ $x= +- \frac{1}{\sqrt{5}} e ^{7/2}$

3. anonymous

but , x cannt be a negative number , otherwise we will take the log of a negative ( which is undefined) when we sub into the original equations so

4. anonymous

$x = \frac{1}{ \sqrt{5}} e ^{7/2}$ is the only solution

okay thank you very much.
