## anonymous 5 years ago want to make sure I solved this quadratic equation correctly..

1. anonymous

$-3^{2}-x+1=0$

2. anonymous

I got 1 +/- (sqroot 2)

3. anonymous

i get -1/6 +/- sqrt(13)/6

4. anonymous

lemme type what i did and you can see if i went wrong

5. anonymous

$[-(-1) \pm \sqrt{1-4(-3)1}]/(2(-3))$

6. anonymous

I probably did it wrong. So do you think those are 2 non real solutions? I need to indicate whether there are 2 different real solutions, 2 non real solutions, or 1 repeated real solution

7. anonymous

There are 2 real solutions

8. anonymous

oh ok. And the square root is only over the 13?

9. anonymous

yeah

10. anonymous

thanks!

11. anonymous

yeahp lol
