calculus (I).....A metal storage tank with volume V is to be constructed in the shape of a right circular cylinder surmounted by a hemisphere. What dimensions will require the least amount of metal?

    They are describing something that looks like a soda can but the top is like half a globe. So if you were making that what dimensions to make it the smallest possible

    So you would need the surface area of a right circular cylinder but missing a top and topped with the surface area of a half globe
