    it becomes (x-10)(x+8) = 0

    (x-10)*(x+8)=0 so, x1=10 and x2=-8

    by the zero product property, x-10 = 0 or x+8 =0 so x =10 or -8

    chatndia is right. if you put it in your calculator it gives you the solutions right away. go to "Polynomial" and solve. or graph it and find the x-intercepts .
