    cell membrane provide cell its shape n its is coz of membrane that all d componets r confined within the cell. cell membrane provide mechanical support to the cell

    the cell membrane regulates what enters and leaves the cell such as sodium ions and other smaller uncharged molecules, thus it allows transfer of materials needed for survival of individual cells
