If x is the original height, then \[3 = .45x\] so \[3/.45 = x\] x = 20/3 = 6.666...
Thanks. I got that also, but didn't think It was right.
That is correct. If you try it out. If the ball is 6.66666 high to begin with, then 45% of 6.66666 is 3 ft.
