(5x-1)2 + (-3x - 1)/4 =9/2 I would multiply all terms by 4 2(5x-1) +(-3x - 1) =18 remove parens 10x-2-3x-1=18 Now consolidate similar terms. 7x-3=18 add 3 to both sides 7x=21 x= 3 dividing both sides by 7

alrighty!! thanks guys wow those are like not the steps i was using ^^ and yea i do that all the time dont worry!
