No shabbir, rheostats have two or three terminals but they are not marked as + or -.These terminals r just ude to coonect them to the circuit.Refer this site for more info http://www.tech-faq.com/rheostat.html.Please rate if u like this answer:)

rheostats are pure resistances with a provision to vary the resistance connected in the circuit with a moving contact. Resistance do not have polarities
