good, so 1 dollar is one half of a pound. or 1 dollar is 1/2 pound, correct? similarly if 1 pound is 1.85 dollars, then one dollar is 1/1.85 ths of a pound or 1 dollar = 1/1.85 pound

in other words, 2 dollars make up one pound, so 1 dollar is half a pound. similarly 1.85 dollars make up a pound, so 1 dollar is 1/1.85 pounds
