for the first one I factored out an x and see what's left for second one I noticed that first two terms(5x^5 & 10x^2) have common factor of 5x^2

5 doesnt really go into 8 that well; so look at the 'x's and see how many you can pull out

    5x^5+10x^2-8x = x(5x^4 +10x -8) thats correct

since this is not in a usual form that we can see; we do a trial and error method to search for other factors

to make this faster; we can graph this on wolframalpha.com and see where the "roots" end up.

I don't see anything that is a common factor of 5,10, and 8
