    to solve multi-step equations you first undo addition or subtraction first then multiplication or division--order of operation backwards ; )

    so to undo -1 you add one to both sides to keep equation balanced 6x=18

    to undo 6 times x, divide both sides by 6 and get x=3

    how do you do it when it is f/2-7=8

    add 7 then multiply by reciprocal of 1/2 which is 2 1/2 f =15 f=30
