Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0The answer is actually 42 Two significant figures means that you have 2 numbers that aren't have some value (the value won't be 0, but it could be .50) If the number after the number you are rounding to (in this case the 3) is less than 5, you round down. If 5 or greater, you round up. If it were 42.6, the answer would be 43. Since it is 42.3, the answer is 42.
