Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I'm having trouble understanding what the dimensions you are giving are referring to. Can you try to explain the geometry to me?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0The outer dimension of 98 feet is the perimeter dimension (around the total outside edge of the kool deck. and the 84 foot dimension is the inner most dimension of the kool deck using a digital walking tape mesure.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0so we are talking about 2 rectangles, one with perimeter 98 and then one inside of it with perimeter 84, and you want the area of the path around the pool?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes thats right, you stretch the oval into a rectangle and its width is 4 and length is the average of the inner and outter dimensions

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0((98+84)/2)*4=364. I'm geussing that's what you did too.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0No, actually when you said two rectangles that gave me the idea of multiplying 84' x 4' + (2 divided by 4 x 14)... thanks for coming up with the same number as I did. I am out as of now. Thanks again. Walt
