4-12). The Bishop's Peak 4H club is having its annual fundraising dinner. Adults pay $30 apiece and children pay $15 apiece. If the number of adult tickets sold is twice the number of children's tickets sold, and the total income for the dinner is $2,850, how many of each kind of ticket did the 4H club sell? how many adults? how many kids?

    Let the child tickets be x and the adult tickets be y 15X + 30y = 2850 y=2x 37.5y = 2850 y=76 x=38 Answer : 38child tickets and 76 adult tickets
