Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I would help you, but make sure you have really thought about your problem before you post it here. anonymous
 5 years ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0it is (1 3/4) you have to be careful with that.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0no kidding! that one was very tricky huh?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0no it was not tricky. I meant you have to be careful where you put the minus sign. It should apply to the whole of 1 3/4, so we write (1 3/4) If it applied to just the 1, then it would be 1 3/4

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0remember, you have to cube everything in the brackets, that includes the s. You forgot to do that in your initial answer. You cubed 7 to get 343, but you didnt cube the s.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0okay good. so what is 3x^2 15x^2

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0x^2 is just another variable. suppose you put a = x^2, then 3x^215x^2 becomes 3a 15a = 12a. but a = x^2 so 3x^215x^2 = 12 x^2

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ok let me see what i can come up with.. :)

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0treat all of them like variable. say x^2 = a, xy = b and y^2 = c. write it in terms of a,b,c and then substitute them back as x^2,xy and y^2
