Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0You first try 1. If it comes out with no remainder it is a root. If it doesn't try 1. That is how you start all these problem. It is trial and error, but they make em simple so you can do it.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0That is because someone has tried 1 and 1 and found that there is a remainder. Then on to 4. Try 4, you know it is a root but the synthetic division would give you the rest of the polynomial.
