\[9^{2}/9^{\log_{3}5 } this is how u did \it?\]

- angela210793

this is how u did it****

- anonymous

the denominator=\[3^{(2\log_{3}5)}= 3^{\log_{3}25}=25\]

sea water contains 3% salinity.how much water should we throw out in 1liter....so that the percentage will b 2%

- angela210793

So so so sorry 4 my english :S:S :$

- angela210793

Did u get what i am looking 4?

- anonymous

is the answer 200/3 L.?

- angela210793

idk.......

- anonymous

Your question: Sea water has 3% salinity. How much volume of water (in litres) should be expelled to get 2% salinity?
Is this ur question?
Was my ans right?

- angela210793

yea this was the q..but i don't know how to solve it.....idk if ur answer is right...:(

- anonymous

ok, my logic goes:
In 100 L water there is 3 vol salt.
Therefore 1 vol salt is in 100/3 L water
So 2 vol salt is in 200/3 L water.

- angela210793

maybe...thnx :):)

- angela210793

another 1??

\[\lim_{x \rightarrow 0} {|2x-1|-|2x+1|}/x\]

- angela210793

hahahaha loool :D :D

- angela210793

**********all that is divided with x**********

- anonymous

answer=-4

- angela210793

O.o some explanation plssssssssssssss ^_^

- anonymous

well, for x=0+c and x=0-c we have |2x-1|=-2x+1 and |2x+1|=2x+1.
here c is the smallest number u can think of.

- anonymous

so that gives the fraction lim(x->0)(-2x+1-2x-1)/x=-4.

- anonymous

any problems ask me:)

- angela210793

let me write tht down pls

- angela210793

thnx :)

- anonymous

crossmultiply and get sin8x in the numerator!

- anonymous

u get (sin4x)/2 in the denom.

- angela210793

oo rightsina*sinb=1/2{sin(a+b)+sin(a-b)} this way right?

- anonymous

yah

- angela210793

wht is denom? google didn't translate it.... O.o

- anonymous

denominator.
Hey, u are translating each of my words?

- watchmath

Hi, Saubhik help Angela with her problem here (because she got a wrong answer):
http://openstudy.com/groups/mathematics#/groups/mathematics/updates/4dda207c0ada8b0b585b43c7

- angela210793

O.o....

- anonymous

i m back

- anonymous

use P(AUB)=P(A)+P(B)-P(AintersectionB)

- angela210793

:)

- angela210793

this is used 4 probability as well? Thanks :)

- anonymous

Yups cardinality properties of sets can also be used un case of probability also. Infact, its obvious probability involves counting.

- angela210793

a/4=b/3; a^2+b^2=100 .....find a-b=?

- anonymous

use a/4=b/3=k. then 16k^2+9k^2=100 i.e. k=+/-2
then its easy!

- anonymous

well u seem to have a huge lot of problems!!!

- angela210793

O.o i didn't get it...where did the 16k^2 come from?

- anonymous

a=4k and b=3k follow my substitution!

- anonymous

so what is ur hobby angela?

- angela210793

ahaaa...i got it...

- angela210793

Hobby???? music and playing puzzle games(tetris especially ) u?

- anonymous

Ur a math-addicted? I'm an english 1 :P

- angela210793

wht's ur favorite book?

- anonymous

so u have more problems?

- angela210793

maybe i'll 1 day :)

- angela210793

let me see

- anonymous

btw the answers approximately i1.7 where i is iota

- anonymous

angela what do u do now?

- angela210793

@druvidfae thnx :)
@saubhik looking 4 the problem

- anonymous

looking for the problem??

- angela210793

X^2+(b-2)X+b=0 and !/x1+!/x2=3 what is b?

- angela210793

@druvidfae not at ur answer.....a problem so Saubhik can help me :)

- anonymous

use the fact that x1+x2=2-b and x1x2=b.
observe that 1/x1+1/x2=(x1+x2)/x1x2=(2-b)/b.now this equals 3.
b=1/2.

- anonymous

where do u get all these questions from?

- angela210793

my friend has given them...this is the preparation 4 the math test on ur b-day day :P
we can leave this if u want....

- anonymous

nopes..it wud help u if u worked them out...when u have desperately tried for hours but failed then u can ask me.. I know u can solve each problem...Believe me u wud feel more confident on my bday :P

- anonymous

i alwys like solving problems...

- angela210793

^_^ Thanks :):) Actually u know what....i have a literature exam on june 1-st ...but i don't like it...and i don't know how to study it.....so i prefer solving maths rather than doing smth tht will drive me crazy....:(:(:(

- anonymous

is it ur high school final exams? Best of luck..
(never do what u dont like, its no use getting high marks in a subject u dont like....i like ur spirit..God has given us abilities in a particular field and we should exploit it to the fullest to become a genius like beethoven or einstein . This is what i believe:)

- angela210793

Huh? Noooo......... it's true that i don't like it but i study it anyway..i must have a good grade's average to go to unviersity...... and my grade's average would b abt 9.7 if there was no math :S

- anonymous

whats the meaning of "earning a grade" if u dont like what you do. We are not compelled to do anything. We do it because we love to do it and spend the time of our life in doing what we like. The main thing: We should have fun throughout our lives.

- angela210793

the meaning is to go to a good university.....:)

- anonymous

and then?? will u be happy after going to a "good university"?
My point is will u be happy throughout ur life just because u went to a good university? If so, then go on...:)

- angela210793

Ofc I'll...this is the reason why i am trying to give my best....
School is the most important thing 4 me nowdays.....
Anyway ....my bro wants the pc so...i'm going to have launch and study literature.....:)
Thanks u veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy much 4 helping me,hope to see ya soon :),have a great time :)

- anonymous

have a nice time..meet u soon.

- angela210793
