    y = 2/-8x+3/-8 y = (-1/4)x -(3/8)

    Slope-intercept form is: y = mx + c, where m is the slope (gradient) and c is the y-intercept. Therefore, the slope-intercept form of your equation is (after a little rearranging), y = (-1/4)x – (3/8)
