Hmmm... , so I'd probably pick something like convicts (in Aus) or slavery (in US) or the civil rights movement, maybe something on the WW2 or Vietnam, the Russian Revolution, prosperity in the 60's, I don't know, i tend to have a political bent, what do you like?

If you are American (and I as a non American would love to read this!) how about... What could have changed the outcome of the American Civil War in favour of a Confederate outright victory and session as an outcome prevailing? Would the war of 1861-65 have been the 'First American Civil War' followed by a Civil War 2'?
