Answer checker please... The mooring buoy has an outter shell made of high density polyethylene. It is filled with foam so it will float. The buoy measures 12 inches in diameter. what is the surface area of the buoy? I did ... 4pir^2 4pi(36) 144pi = 452.38933 in^2

    Well assuming the buoy is a sphere, it looks like you successfully found the surface area. :)

    Did you know your web browser can do calculator stuff? In the address bar type "4*pi*36=" (without the quotes) and it should give you the answer without even having to press enter.
