C/C++ http://www.daniweb.com/software-development/c/threads/50370 has an interesting amount of info to start up with. I am learning HTML from HEAD FIRST book. and I will always advocate its use. :) But considering you are new to programming. I suggest you learn atleast one language in a good institute.
