    x+8. x^2+4x-44.............x-4......dividend x^2 +8xon subtractting sign will get change .............................................. -4x -44 -4x -32 on subtracting sign will get change .................................................. - 12 ..............remainder

    the answer requires a fraction it was -6-1/x+8

    What if you use shrishti1's answer but put the remainder in fractional form? So it would be x-4- 12/(x+8). I looked at your attachment and you had a few small errors...like you didn't change the signs to subtract in the first step.
