It is a nice point you raise. there are more, but I can not think of any right now. I suppose this phenomenon is just a coincidence: i.e., the synonyms of the these two phrasal verb happen to include the reverse order of the original two composing character.

I give you some example of using these synonyms, because there are subtle difference. For instance, "這雙鞋你穿著很合適。" “This pair of shoe fits you well.” and "這雙鞋適合你。" It feels like the 合適 is intransitive verb, whereas 適合 requires an object.

I have more examples.(they are not all verbs, but very interesting) 1.互相 and 相互,they have the same meaning which is "mutual" 2.流水 and 水流,the same which means "running water" 3.戰爭 and 爭戰,the same which means "war" or "fight" 4.悲傷 and 傷悲,the same means "sad" 5.來往 and 往來,the same means "contact" I also have some words which the arrangement of their characters do matter. more fun in this! 1.故事(story) vs. 事故(accident) 2.牛奶(milk) vs. 奶牛(cow) 3.柴火(firewood) vs. 火柴(match) 4.蜂蜜(honey) vs. 蜜蜂(bee) 5.名人(celebrity) vs. 人名(someone's name)
