Writing is a complex subject. It is the study about how to accurately and consciously communicate ideas. More than that, literary writing is the study of presenting such ideas in a specific manner so as to manipulate the understanding of the reader at a any given point during reading. Finally, writing (and other storytelling methods) is used to express extremely complex thoughts that are difficult for some to properly understand - such as symbolism or imaginative philosophical scenarios in disguise. Knowing all this and more, why WOULDN'T we have a writing section? It is one of the top subjects students need help with because of it's misleading complexity. If you can't communicate your ideas, people won't know them. If they don't want to read them, they won't even care. And to prove all that: You misspelled *writing* in the first place - and this editor has a spell checker.... ;P
