The difference is the degrees. If you checked the MIT curriculum you would see this track offers two bachelors degrees, one in electrical engineering, the other in computer science and a masters. After 5 years of study you are fully prepared to go into a professional position, entry level of course, with the tools to compete in either or both fields. I hope this answers your question.
